Is there a free trial available?
Yes, you can test it by creating a project directly on the platform. You'll be able to start measuring and monitor how your project changes over time. No more calling consultants for long processes.
What are the limitations on project size?
There are no limitations. Projects can range in size from a few hundred hectares to millions of hectares. We believe that all ecosystems deserve modern measurement tools.
What indicators does your platform provides?
Our current data product provides the following indicators, accessible via intuitive maps and interactive dashboards: forest cover, canopy height, tree height, aboveground biomass, belowground biomass, carbon stock, and carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq).
Is Kanop compatible with standards, such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) from Verra?
Kanop enables seamless integration of field data and the recalibration of model outputs, making our approach to quantifying aboveground biomass and carbon stocks fully compatible with VT005 (Tool for Measuring Above Ground Live Forest Biomass Using Remote Sensing). We are proactively working to maintain compatibility with forthcoming revision to VT005 as well as Verra's upcoming "Tool for Measuring Height of Biomass Using Remote Sensing and Artificial Intelligence".
Is ground data necessary to measure?
Our AI models and automation push for a limited need for ground data. Depending on your need, you may provide us with ground data that will help our AI perform even better in your area (recalibration process). If that's the case, we will support you in importing your data.
What data sources do you use?
Our AI leverages optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. For now, we rely on open source data such as the Landsat, Sentinel and Palsar satellites. We expect to harness commercial data on top in the near future.
